The Three Little Pigs as a co-op survival horror game: build your house by day, and keep the wolf out of it by night.
HUFF retells the Three Little Pigs as co-op survival horror. With up to two friends, you gather straw, wood and stone by day and build a house that has to hold real weight. At night Huff comes back. He listens for noise, blows your torches out and looks for the door you forgot to close.
Everyone knows how the story ends. Three little pigs, three houses, and a wolf who goes down the chimney and never comes back up.
Grandpa told it a hundred times. He left a few things out. Like the fact that the wolf never died.
In HUFF you and up to two friends play the three brothers, sent into the woods with Grandpa's journal, an old campfire and one warning: houses of straw don't last the night.
By day you split up to gather straw, wood and stone, and you build on a grid that behaves like a real structure. Walls need floors, floors need support, and anything you push too far out will sag and fall, sometimes on top of whoever built it. Every piece goes up as straw. Hold it long enough and it becomes wood, then stone.
By night you go inside, keep the fires fed and listen.
Huff doesn't just run at the walls. He hears you: sprint and he knows where you are, crouch and he loses you. Light doesn't scare him; he blows your torches out. He circles the house looking for the door that was left open and the wall that was patched in a hurry. If he catches one of you, he doesn't eat you on the spot. He drags you to his den under the rocks, and your brothers have until dawn to go down into the dark and get you back.
And the forest is wrong long before he attacks. Steps follow you between the trees and stop when you stop. In the morning there are paw prints all the way around the house, and the door you shut is standing open. Pages appear in Grandpa's journal in a hand that isn't his.
Seven nights. On the last one, he comes down the chimney.
Key features
- A fairy tale everyone knows, told as the horror story it always was.
- Co-op for 1 to 3 players: one shared pile of materials, split up to gather, keep each other alive.
- Building with real structure. Floors, walls, doors, windows and stairs carry weight and collapse when they can't.
- Straw, wood, stone: upgrade every piece by hand, the way the story says.
- A wolf that hunts by sound. Noise is the resource you spend.
- Get caught and you're carried to his den. Your brothers can still bring you back before dawn.
- A small, dense forest that changes with the hours: golden afternoons, rain that soaks the ground, moonlit nights and storms.
- A hand-inked look, like an old storybook left out in the rain.
